The 2021-22 CAASPP data was released in late October, and the following are some visualizations looking at pre-pandemic averages and comparing those data with the current release
Changes in percentage of students who met or exceeded the standard in Math and ELA
Standards percentages and Mean Score changes
The graphic below displays the breakdown by county, student group and grade showing the percentage of students who met or exceeded standards, along with the percentage of students who nearly met or did not meet the standard for ELA and Math.
The bottom graphic shows the year over year change in the mean score during that same time period. Year over year is displayed as a percentage and calculated as (current year - prior year)/(prior year). Changes in mean scores can show growth you may not see when simply looking at performance as a percent of standards being met.
